Deputy Minister's Bio

Eiryn Devereaux was appointed Deputy Minister of the Nova Scotia Department of Infrastructure and Housing in March 2021.

Eiryn has more than 25 years of public and private sector experience working in the areas of project management and facilities management, including experience in residential, commercial and institutional projects. He has participated in and led many large capital infrastructure projects involving K-12 schools, post-secondary institutions, health facilities, correctional institutions, water and wastewater facilities, arenas, and cultural and arts facilities.

Before joining the Government of Nova Scotia, Eiryn was Assistant Deputy Minister, Infrastructure, with the Government of Nunavut. In this role, he led the capital planning team and managed a portfolio of publicly-owned facilities.

Eiryn also has 12 years’ experience with the Northwest Territories Housing Corporation in the planning and delivery of affordable housing programs to residents throughout the territory, partnering with local aboriginal housing authority boards.
