Minister Joanne Bernard today announced that Housing Nova Scotia is donating two parcels of land to Habitat for Humanity to provide affordable homeownership opportunities for families in the community of East Preston.

"Habitat for Humanity and their passionate and dedicated teams of volunteers will take the land where we stand today and turn it into a place that families will call home", said Minister Bernard. "The province respects the valuable work that non-profit organizations, like Habitat for Humanity, do to support homeownership for families in need."

This annoucement marks the beginning of the new project.
