Housing Nova Scotia Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

Housing Nova Scotia, the provincial housing agency, today announced that Lindsay Wadden has been hired as its Chief Operating Officer, effective August 31, 2015.

Lindsay is a seasoned executive who is highly regarded for her experience providing strategic and operational direction to public sector organizations. She has extensive government experience with the Nova Scotia Provincial Lotteries and Casino Corporation where she was the Vice-President, Gaming Operations since 2011.

"She will provide strategic leadership and innovative expertise in the management and administration of Housing Nova Scotia’s real property and affordable housing portfolio.  She will also lead significant transformation initiatives to reshape programs and services for existing and new clients."

Prior to joining government in 2011, Lindsay was a practicing lawyer at a law firm in Charlottetown, with her focus on corporate / commercial and real estate transactions. She is still a member in good standing of both the PEI and NS Law Societies. Lindsay holds an LLB from Dalhousie Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Saint Vincent University.  

Lindsay is committed to her community and causes she cares deeply about. Her volunteer work includes the Salvation Army, Junior Achievement (Our Business World), Habitat for Humanity, the Berkley, Dalhousie Legal Aid, Metropolitan Immigrant Settlement Association, Millennium Scholarship Selection Committee and Canada Mental Health Association.
